Joe Gutierrez
Assistant Director, Communications Coordinator
Assistant director for the Office of Public Affairs, Joe serves as communications coordinator for the university and is the lead news media contact. He also covers the College of Business and Public Administration and College of Education and serves as the managing editor for the College of Education magazine.

Joselyn Yap
Administrative Support Assistant
Joselyn is the public affairs office manager and acts as the department’s budget coordinator. In the absence of the office’s publications manager, Joselyn serves as the contact for university departments and offices requesting publications jobs. She also coordinates the bid process for these jobs, working with outside vendors. She is also the chief staff member responsible for keeping Director Sid Robinson’s calendar. Joselyn also prepares and distributes the office’s weekly stream of press releases, and helps maintain the public affairs Web site.

Sam Romero
Public Affairs/Media Specialist
Managing editor for CSUSB Magazine, the university's alumni publication, Sam has been with Cal State San Bernardino for 20 years. He is one of five public information contacts in the Office of Public Affairs and is the lead writer for the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Natural Sciences.

Jim "Jiggs" Gallagher
Public Affairs/Media Specialist
Jiggs Gallagher is the lead public affairs writer for the Palm Desert Campus and is one of five media contacts in the Office of Public Affairs office. He also works with the university president on preparing speeches, scripts and some print pieces. He produces and hosts television programs on university subjects in San Bernardino and the Coachella Valley (Palm Desert).

Alan Llavore
Publications Coordinator, Public Affairs Assistant
Alan is the primary contact when requesting newsletters, programs, case statements, brochures, fliers, postcards and other promotional publications for the university's colleges, departments, programs and offices. He handles and coordinates editing and proofreading requests and is the lead writer and contact for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and the university's Information Resources and Technology division. He also oversees and edits the daily content of the public affairs news Web site, news.csusb.edu. Alan is one of five media contacts in the Office of Public Affairs.

Carmen Murillo-Moyeda
Public Affairs Marketing Specialist
Carmen is the marketing specialist responsible for promoting the university’s unified visual identity through its new logo design and integrating social media networks to publicize CSUSB. She is responsible for conveying the new logo guidelines and the newly edited Graphics Standards Manual through presentations to campus users. Carmen is a contributing editor to the CSUSB magazine, writes news releases and is one of the media contacts for the university. She collaborates on the development of marketing tools for student recruitment such as video production and assists with the maintenance of the database of faculty experts and speakers bureau for dissemination to the media and general public.

Angela Gillespie

Angela is one of two graphic designers in the public affairs office. She contributes to various Cal State San Bernardino publications, including the Admissions and Student Recruitment viewbook, a promotional calendar showcasing campus landscapes and buildings, the CSUSB news Web site, and the design development of the university homepage. Her work also includes designing invitations, brochures and ads that support various events, academic programs and other campus activities.
