Cal State San Bernardino’s Office of Public Affairs is available to assist university departments and programs develop news releases and “media pitches” to help generate media coverage.
A typical news release contains “the message” – the information you want the media to publish, broadcast or send through the Internet. A news release can contain information about an event, a promotion, a grant, research findings, students’ achievements or a new program at the university.
Contact the Office of Public Affairs to assist in preparing news releases or to assure your release is one that will catch the media’s attention.
To start the news release process, visit the “Do-It-Yourself News Release Forms”. The online forms were designed to help answer all the important and necessary questions to prepare a news release.
